Michael Martin

Designer, Developer, Rider and President, was first introduced to engine powered motorbikes while visiting family when he was a small child. His first experience riding was with a Tote-Goat. A Tote-Goal is a direct chain drive vehicle powered by a Brigs and Stratton engine and no suspension. He was instantly hooked on the need for speed and the wind in his face.

Michael started riding his own motorcycles in 1971. His first bike was a BSA 500 Victor. This was an “Enduro” type of motorcycle for both on and off-road riding. As he continued to ride his love for on and off-road riding continued to grow. Over the years, riding many different types of bikes, mostly riding off-road bikes and other off-road vehicles.

Eventually Michael purchased a Harley Davidson Road Glide and subsequently joined a non-profit motorcycle organization. It was then he was introduced to riding in a “pack”. It is from his many years of pack riding experience he was able to contribute with the design and development of the Alert Riders product.
